tordovs theory

He believes in the narrative theory and the codes, there are two parts of the narrative theory; structure and elements.
1.this theory shows that the equilibrium (all is good and normal)
2.distribution of that order by an event
3.recognition that the disorder has happened
4. try to make it better
5. try to go back to normal- equilibrium
house at the end of the street:
equilibrium: a mother and daughter move into a new house in america
distribution of events: they hear rumours about the house that is very close to them about a the family and how they were killed by the daughter, now the son only lives there.
recognition of distribution: daughter gets kidnapped by the son in the house and pretends its his sister
attempts to repair damage: the mum goes to the house to try and save her
a return to new equilibrium: they move back to old house away from their new house and lives happily ever after

  1. WWW: You have written the theory into your own words and linked this into your own film structure analysis.
EBI: You had linked more to the elements of the structure. What elements would you expect from each part of the structure? You have shown some of this from your structure task on House At the End of the Street but I want you to think more in depth.
